ឯកឧត្តមឧបនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រី ប្រាក់ សុខុន រដ្ឋមន្ត្រីការបរទេស និងសហប្រតិបត្តិការអន្តរជាតិ នៅល្ងាចថ្ងៃទី២៦ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ បានអញ្ជើញជួបពិភាក្សាទ្វេភាគីជាមួយ ឯកឧត្តម António Guterres អគ្គលេខាធិការអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិ ក្នុងឱកាសនៃការអញ្ជើញចូលរួមកិច្ចពិភាក្សាទូទៅនៃមហាសន្និបាតអ.ស.ប. លើកទី៨១ នៅទីក្រុងញូវយ៉ក សហរដ្ឋអាម៉េរិក។
នៅក្នុងឱកាសនោះ ឯកឧត្តមឧបនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រី បានថ្លែងអំណរគុណយ៉ាងជ្រាលជ្រៅចំពោះកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការដ៏យូរអង្វែងរវាងកម្ពុជា និងអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិ ចាប់តាំងពីបេសកកម្មអ៊ុនតាក់ (UNTAC) ដែលបានគាំទ្រដល់ការអភិវឌ្ឍជាតិ។
ឯកឧត្តមឧបនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រី ក៏បានសម្តែងនូវការស្ងើចសរសើរយ៉ាងខ្លាំងចំពោះសមិទ្ធផលដ៏លេចធ្លោរបស់ឯកឧត្តមអគ្គលេខាធិការ ក្នុងការដឹកនាំក៏ដូចជាធ្វើឱ្យអង្គការនេះកាន់តែរឹងមាំ និងដើរតួនាទីយ៉ាងសំខាន់ ជាពិសេសក្នុងអំឡុងពេលជាច្រើនទសវត្សរ៍ ដែលពោរពេញដោយការវិវត្ត ភាពមិនប្រាកដប្រជា និងបញ្ហាប្រឈមធំៗជាច្រើន។
ទន្ទឹមនឹងនោះ ភាគីទាំងពីរក៏បានផ្លាស់ប្តូរទស្សនៈគ្នាលើបច្ចុប្បន្នភាពនៅតាមបណ្តោយព្រំដែនកម្ពុជា-ថៃ ផងដែរ។
On the evening of 25 September 2026, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, on the sidelines of the General Debate of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.
His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation for the enduring Cambodia–UN partnership since the 1990s UNTAC mission and its support for national development.
He was very grateful for the Secretary-General’s outstanding achievements in leading the organization and for making it stronger and more relevant, especially during decades marked by profound transformation, turbulence, and tremendous challenges.
They also exchanged views on the current situation along the Cambodia–Thailand border.
