យោងតាមការបង្ហោះផ្សាយរបស់ក្រសួងការបរទេសបានឲ្យដឹងថានៅរសៀលថ្ងៃទី៦ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ នៅទីស្តីការក្រសួង លោកជំទាវ អ៊ាត សោភា រដ្ឋមន្ត្រីស្តីទីការបរទេសនិងសហប្រតិបត្តិការអន្តរជាតិ បានអញ្ជើញដឹកនាំធ្វើបទបង្ហាញជូនតំណាងស្ថានបេសកកម្មការទូត និងអង្គការអន្តរជាតិប្រចាំព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា ក្រោយពីការសម្រេចរបស់គណៈរដ្ឋមន្ត្រីថៃ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៥ ខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ ក្នុងការបញ្ចប់ជាឯកតោភាគីពីអនុស្សរណៈនៃការយោគយល់គ្នារវាងព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា និងព្រះរាជាណាចក្រថៃទាក់ទងនឹងតំបន់ដែនសមុទ្រទាមទារត្រួតគ្នានៃខ្ពង់រាបបាតសមុទ្រ (MOU-2001) ដែលបានចុះហត្ថលេខាកាលពីឆ្នាំ២០០១។
លោកជំទាវរដ្ឋមន្ត្រីស្តីទី ក៏បានធ្វើបច្ចុប្បន្នភាពជូនអង្គទូតអំពីការវិវត្តថ្មីៗនៃបញ្ហាព្រំដែនរវាងប្រទេសកម្ពុជានិងប្រទេសថៃផងដែរ។
On the afternoon of 6 May 2026, at the Ministry, Her Excellency EAT Sophea, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, briefed Representatives of Diplomatic Missions and International Organisations accredited to the Kingdom of Cambodia, following the decision by the Thai Cabinet on 5 May 2026 to unilaterally terminate the Memorandum of Understanding between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of Thailand, regarding the Area of their Overlapping Maritime Claims to the Continental Shelf (MOU-2001), signed in 2001.
The Acting Minister also updated the diplomatic corps on the recent development on the ground of the border issues between Cambodia and Thailand.
