On September 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at the Choam\u2013Sa Ngam International Border Checkpoint in Anlong Veng District, Oddar Meanchey Province, the Secretariats of the Cambodia\u2013Thailand Regional Border Committee (RBC) \u2014Cambodia\u2019s Military Region 4 and Thailand\u2019s Army Area 2\u2014 held an informal meeting. The Cambodian delegation was led by Brigadier General Nit Narong, Head of the Cambodian RBC Secretariat, while the Thai delegation was led by Major General Kamphanat Waphansu, Head of the Thai RBC Secretariat. This meeting was held in response to an invitation from the secretaries of the Cambodian-Thai Border Committee (RBC) of Military Region 4 of Cambodia, under the observation of the ASEAN Observer Teams (AOTs) from both sides.<\/p>\n

During the informal meeting, both parties discussed continuing to promote the full and effective implementation of the contents of the Joint Statement of the Third Special Meeting of the Cambodia\u2013Thailand General Border Committee (GBC), dated December 27, 2025, including operational coordination and resolution of various issues to build mutual trust.<\/p>\n
